(May 5, 2011, Washington, D.C.) – The ÃÈÃÃÉç (ÃÈÃÃÉç) commends the Teacher Leadership Exploratory Consortium for its development of the . Through the new standards, the Consortium, which includes education organizations, state education agencies, institutions of higher education, teacher leaders, principals and superintendents, has addressed a long-standing need for guidelines to define the knowledge and skills necessary for teachers to assume effective leadership roles in schools, districts and the profession.
