ÃÈÃÃÉç Releases Framework on Artificial Intelligence in Educator Preparation

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape teaching and learning, educator preparation programs have an important role to play in ensuring future educators are prepared to use AI thoughtfully, ethically, and effectively.

ÃÈÃÃÉç (ÃÈÃÃÉç) has developed theÌý, a national resource designed to help educator preparation programs navigate the opportunities and challenges of AI while keeping human expertise and professional judgment at the center.

The framework focuses on four pillars: ethical and policy guardrails; clinical practice and implementation; cognitive architecture and advocacy; and professional expertise and human judgment. Together, these areas provide a foundation for preparing educators to understand not only how to use AI, but when its use is appropriate, how to evaluate its limitations, and how to ensure it strengthens rather than replaces human thinking and relationships.
