Lunch and Learn #3: Leveraging AI for Rubric Design

Rubrics are widely used in education to improve the consistency and transparency of grading. Well-designed rubrics communicate expectations, facilitate self-evaluation, and help streamline grading. However, creating a detailed and concise rubric can be time-consuming. This Lunch and Learn session will examine how to utilize AI to efficiently develop robust rubrics. We will also explore an AI-powered rubric builder.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to

  • Recognize the potential benefits and challenges of using AI for rubric development.
