Lunch with Lynn – Empowering Advocacy
The October Lunch with Lynn conversation will focus on ÃÈÃÃÉç’s advocacy efforts at the federal and state levels. ÃÈÃÃÉç Presidents & CEO Lynn M. Gangone will be joined by Jacquelilne King, ÃÈÃÃÉç consultant, and Robin Fuxa, chair of the Advisory Council for State Representatives (ACSR), to discuss ÃÈÃÃÉç’s efforts to support the educator preparation community by working with national and state governments.

Lynn M. Gangone, Ed.D., CAE has served as ÃÈÃÃÉç’s president & CEO since 2017, her fourth higher education association leadership role. As president & CEO Gangone works to elevate ÃÈÃÃÉç’s values: diversity, equity, and inclusion; quality and impact; inquiry and innovation. As an experiencedcampus senior administrator, lobbyist and policy analyst, association executive, and dean/faculty member, Gangone brings a unique perspective to her work. Her experience includes work at the New York State and New Jersey State Education Departments, Centenary University (NJ), Maryland Independent College and University Association, University of Denver, and American Council on Education. She has held faculty appointments at two Colleges of Education, George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development and at University of Denver’s Morgridge College of Education. Gangone received an Ed.D. and M.Ed. from Columbia University Teachers

Jacqueline E. King, Ph.D.

Jacqueline King, Ph.D., is an independent consultant who works with K-12 and higher education leaders to improve student outcomes. King has had a long career in education, including 15 years at the American Council on Education (ACE). She is the author or co-author of numerous reports, articles, and book chapters on college readiness, student financing of higher education, access and persistence in postsecondary education, student demographic trends, educator preparation, philanthropic giving to colleges and universities, and trends in the leadership of higher education. She has authored several reports for the ÃÈÃÃÉç, including Colleges of Education:Â A National Portrait. Her work has been featured on CNN and in national publications
Robin Fuxa, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Literacy Education
Oklahoma State University
Robin Fuxa, Ph.D., currently serves as assistant professor of literacy education at Oklahoma State University. She began her career as a 5th grade teacher and 6-12 grade library media specialist. Fuxa is an active member of the Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, which collaborates with stakeholders across state to advocate for the teaching profession.
She currently serves as the chair of the Advisory Council for State Representatives. Fuxa received her Ph.D. in curriculum studies at Oklahoma State University in 2012
