ÃÈÃÃÉç is committed to supporting its members, professional community, and partners with resources to assist in preparing school leaders and in advancing the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion in educator preparation.

Global Education Faculty Professional Learning Community (PLC)

The Global Education Faculty PLC provides a peer support network and professional development to faculty at comprehensive teacher preparation programs to effectively integrate global teaching competencies within their curriculum and practices. Through an application process, ÃÈÃÃÉç members from across the country were selected to serve as PLC participants.

Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA)

With support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ÃÈÃÃÉç has launched the Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA), to evaluate cut scores for entrance into educator preparation programs. Specifically, the Consortium seeks to examine the processes and considerations that states use to determine cut scores, and how they can be refined to attract, rather than exclude, potential teacher candidates.

Special Education-Affinity Group

ÃÈÃÃÉç is collaborating with CEEDAR (Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability, and Reform) in order to offer ÃÈÃÃÉç members the opportunity to glean insights from comprehensive educator preparation programs and educational partners who have excelled in recruiting and preparing candidates to become fully licensed special educators.

Leadership Preparation

Understanding principal preparation programs and their benchmarks for quality is a critical aspect of ÃÈÃÃÉç’s current work. With support from The Wallace Foundation, ÃÈÃÃÉç engages higher education and PK-12 partners in research, professional development opportunities, and collaborative initiatives focused on strengthening the quality and effectiveness of principal preparation programs.

Inclusive Practices

One of ÃÈÃÃÉç’s key strategic priorities is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. ÃÈÃÃÉç and its members value the diversity of students, their families, and educators; equity in access to high quality instructional environments; and the inclusion of all students, defined as access and opportunity, in PK-20 classrooms.
